Paul is 4 months old!

He did great at his 4 month appointment! He is about 13 pounds, or 25th percentile and forgot the length but it is about 50th percentile. As I said before, at this early age they are happy if a preemie is even ON the chart, but he is doing great on the scale for a regular, full-term infant. Don't let those sweet chubby cheeks fool you, right now it looks like he will be built a lot like his sister, tall and fairly thin with a low BMI.
He is ahead or right on with most milestones as well, with all his rolling around, cooing, and starting to bat at toys. Paul is just a cute, happy little guy! He loves his sister and smiles at her and her voice. Jilly is doing well, too, although she has been testing us the past week like only a toddler can. We try to remember that most of these phases don't last much longer than a couple of weeks and we have been getting out a lot with friends this week, which also helps her attitude (mom's too!). We usually wear Paul out before leaving the house and he ends up sleeping most of the outing. Now my friends are teasing that I don't even really have a baby in the carrier because they never see him or get to hold him!

  1. He is too cute! I'm glad that you guys are getting out more. I know that helps with the attitudes for sure. Jillian will find her groove eventually. Hang in there!

  2. Those cheeks are too cute! So glad to hear little Paul is doing well. Sydney seems to have become a different person these last few weeks (uncooperative, tantrums) so hopefully Jillian is just going through a phase and not the "I'm almost three so I am going to have an attitude" stage like Sydney. Whoever said two was the toughest age was sadly mistaken!! Go have some alone time to recharge and eat some delicious brownies! :)
