Ok, so he has technically seen the NICU pediatrician every day of his life, but today he saw his regular pediatrician for the first time. I really like her and she has been great with Jillian, and once again was very happy with the approach she is taking to Paul. He is currently on 1/8 liter oxygen and his monitor has not gone off once, which would indicate an apnea episode - she thinks that if this continues we should reduce his flow to 1/16 already on Monday. After a week of that if he continues to do well, down to 1/32, and that is the lowest flow there is! So he could potentially get off oxygen a bit sooner than the extremely conservative NICU pediatrician had estimated. The visit also went well for mom, who was pretty nervous about going out alone with baby AND oxygen AND monitor, but we did just fine.
Paul continues to pig out at every feeding and he came in at 6 lb 10 oz today! That's almost a pound heavier than his birthweight!
Poor Jilly is being great but struggling a bit since Paul came home and actually seeing how much attention we have to pay to him right now. She is still very gentle to her brother, just very sensitive. Granted, many things take twice as long with his monitors on right now, but when he gets more mobile and can hang out in different areas of the house with us, hopefully we will be able to spend more time with Jillian playing!

That's great news. I'm glad that your pediatrician is good with the kids. So many people complain about theirs and never change doctors. What's that all about?? Jillian will get the hang of having her brother home now. You guys are doing great! Thanks for the update. :)
